All of Europe is crossed by a network of paths leading to the tomb of the holy Jacob in Spain. You can follow in the footsteps of “strong women” on a 55 km long section of the Jacobian way.
The pilgrimage commemorates three important women: St. Elisabeth, patron saint of the diocese of the city of Erfurt, St. Walburga, eponym of the former Walpurgiskloster in Arnstadt, and the beatified Paulina, founder of the Paulinzella monastery.
On this pilgrimage they embark on a journey to three outstanding personalities of Thuringia’s church history and experience a breathtaking landscape, lined with churches and monasteries. You can collect pilgrim stamps at many stations along the way. This also applies to the Bachkirche Arnstadt, the Tourist Information Arnstadt and the Traukirche J. S. Bachs in Dornheim.
